Do people in houston as a whole sue a lot?
I have already been sued twice because of wrecks even though the other person was at fault both times. I won both times but I don't understand how you can crash into the back of a car at a redlight and then sue because it broke your nose. The second time I was sued becase a car pulled out in front of me and a woman in a van behind rear ended me and sued me because I have aftermarket brakes that are bigger than the factory. A few weeks ago I was weedeating and someone walked right through that strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street and was going to walk right into the weedeater. Can't they see that im weedeating and the string is spinning and hear the motor its a Echo. I know that would have been a lawsuit.

I think there is a scummy, ghetto, lazy element in any city that would love to see all marginally successful people fired, sued, and forced to hand out lifelong reparations for even looking at someone cross-eyed. Doubly so against those white boys we'd all be better off without. I've read that scientists have done experiments where they put a group of monkeys next to a tree that has a banana on the very top. When one monkey gets near the banana at the top, the other monkeys on the bottom pull him down so he can't get to it. That same mentality applies here, and if these incidents happened on the SW side near your cholos, or some other 'diverse,' blue-voting area, I wouldn't be surprised.
As far as weed-eating (and using the blower) goes, a little courtesy goes a long way, especially if it's a gas-powered. As long as the operators redline those deafening things directly in front of others, we will go the way of the west coast where they are outright banned. In other words, be aware of your surroundings and if you see someone coming, idle it down and step back until they pass.

My memory may fade but I recall Harris County, Texas as being considered civil lawsuit capital of the country.

I think you're confusing us with Jefferson County. Or maybe Hidalgo County.

Dunno, just recall that there's a county in Texas that has claim to most plaintiff friendly, largest damages awarded, etc.
