Hello everybody,

I am a new investor to Houston area. I invest in residential properties mainly. I would like to ask all current local investors to share some ideas on which areas of the city you would invest/or already invest youself. The up and coming areas in my understanding are the areas that have a great future potential and are underpriced as of today.

I appreciate your help and expertise.
Jane

You're kidding, right? You want other r/e investors to give you tips? I don't think it works that way.

The inner city hoods and barrios. Grab a spot and sit on it. Its only a matter of time before the white people force them out with their almighty dollars.

The other place is around the new Houston Dynamo stadium.

But come on,
I don't know anything about investing and could have easily found this information on Google.

agree on that one.

I would also look for dumpy, dilapidated, or abandoned areas where rail is gonna go up.

Estate sales in Timbergrove, Oak Forest, Garden Oaks, Eastwood, etc. Get ones that are basically sound, but need updating extensively.

Too late.
A lawyer friend of ours took us over to see his groups new land purchase in 1978. I thought he was nuts.

There is a baseball stadium on it now. Those guys think years ahead.
