Hello! We just moved to the Montrose/Midtown area and are looking for a great Indian food restaurant in the area. We live very close to Indika and love it, but are looking for the standard, delicious buffet or tikka masala place....not the $45 curry coated ahi tuna sort of place...if you know what I mean. Thanks for your help!

I just tried Shiva about 2 weeks ago. It is located in Rice Village. Loved the chicken tikka masala. Some of the other dishes were Super hot, but still had a great flavor. Nice atmosphere too. Amazingingly friendly waitstaff. The placed closed at 11 and we rolled in around 1015. They still gave us great service. The manager helped us order and even gave us an extra dish to try (on him) because we couldn't decide, extra free rice to take home, and the samosas for an appetizer normally is an order of 2. We had a group and he gave us 2 more for no charge. They were delicious. The chicken chaat appetizer was good too. We had the chicken vindaloo and chicken madras as well. Someone ordered a lamb and shrimp dish but I don't remember the names. They really liked the dishes though. Anyway, I had a really good experience here. I don't have one bad comment. Must like Spice though!

I second this. I ate there last month and loved it. I had Vegetable Samosa and I highly recommend that. Also Chana Masala...yum!
