Looking for a mother's day out program for my 17 month old. She is on the waiting list for one program but looking for any other suggestions. We are located in the Clear Lake/Friendswood area.

I believe that St. Bernadette on El Camino/El Dorado still has openings in their 1 and 2 yr old class for Sept 2007-2008 session.

Default Bethel Church of Houston MDO Program

Both of my boys attend Mother's Day Out at Bethel Church of Houston (aka Bethel Independent Presbyterian Church). They've been attending there for more than two years now and have had a superb experience. What I think sets Bethel apart from many others is their faithfulness to God's Word in each classroom (no matter what age). Each caregiver (childcare teacher?) spends some time each day in the Bible and uses games and crafts to help communicate the moral of the lesson that day.

As well, Paula - the director, is absolutely fantastic! She has many years of experience and does a superb job at making kids (and parents) feel comfortable and welcome.

Last I spoke with Paula, she stated that they are eagerly looking to grow the program and have many childcare positions available. Because it is two days a week, it offers local Houston moms a chance to take Wednesdays and Thursdays off (from 9:30 - 2:30) to relax, enjoy some personal time, etc. My wife eagerly awaits those days and is very comfortable leaving our boys there in the care of the loving caregivers. Our boys often hate to leave. Give it a try!
