Anyone have a rec for a good internal medicine doc/internist? Male or female, no diff. United Healthcare insurance. Would like to find one within reasonable distance from Bellaire/Meyerland/Med Center area. Wish to replace current totally non-proactive GP. Hoping to find someone who actually listens to the patient and doesn't just give the quickest brush-off of symptoms, requiring a 2nd or even 3rd visit to figure out what's really going on.

Thanx, but UHC website merely lists doctors in their network; does not make any recs. However, i did look up and locate several internists in the network. Am still hoping for a personal recommendation from a patient.
