Quality of DR Horton homes?
Hi,
Wanted to know if anyone out there has any experience or knowledge of the quality of DR Horton homes in the 300,000-400,000 price range? Are there many problems with their homes?
Thnkyou for any input!!

I would be more comfortable going with a higher end builder at that price range than a large scale price competitive builder like DR Horton.

Thanks for the input!
Can you suggest some builders?
The builders that are building in the development we are looking at (Shadow Creek ranch) include Coventry, Meritage, Newmark, wilshire..

We are building a home with Coventry in Katy.. the house will be ready Nov/Dec.. so far so good as far as the building stage...I'm hopping for the best when we are actually in...I've done my research and they seem to be one of the best!

I was also told that DR Horton did not have a good rep but I have a friend and nephew who both own dr horton homes and they are happy with them, neither house is in that price range though. I would probably go with a higher end builder if possible.

D.R. Horton= Not good rep.
Go with something more high ended! Ex: David Weekly, Perry, Newmark, Coventry, Imperial, etc.
Custom homes might be a bit too expensive.
