Default Houston Young Professionals

Hi,

So I'm a single young professional living in Houston and I'm finding it hard to connect with other young professionals in the city. I'm trying to find a club/organization that is fairly organized with regular meetups/gatherings where likeminded individuals can meet and network. I would love if they also had some volunteer opportunities. I figure it would be a great way to meet new friends and network.

Thanks.

What are your most passionate interests outside of your work in accounting?

The answer to this question should give you a clue as to finding an organization or group you will enjoy. A singles-only group is fine, but in general, young couples are good about introducing their single friends to others.

Most houses of worship in Houston have organized young singles groups. Friends of mine who aren't particularly religious developed social and business contacts through these.

Meet UP is a good one, also check out Young Active Professionals, or YAPClub.com/Houston. There is a Happy Hour tomorrow 10/12 at Chuy's off Westheimer/Kirby.

The original poster is new in town. Wouldn't be weird going to happy hours by yourself?
