The Woodlands, Tx
We are thinking of moving to the Woodlands or Clear lake. Can you give me some pros and cons about the private schools. Which area has more Asian Indians. How about the crime rate.

I don't know about Clear Lake but having lived in TW for 8 months, I can say that I don't recall seeing very much of an Asian Indian presence there at all.

We have a great private school nestled in the pine forests of Indian Springs - John Cooper School. Students are high achievers. I can see nothing but total excellence from the higher grades. I assume the lower grades are the same. Public schools here are also very good.

Majority of Indians seem to live in the Sugar Land area.

^^ That.
Response to another post: Commute from TW to CL? There isn't enough wine in the world to make it worth it.

Plenty of Indians and Asians in general in Clear Lake but not quite on the level of Sugar Land, and nothing like the far west side up & down Hwy 6 near that Indian movie theater.
The stats on this site says a foreigner in Clear Lake (Houston proper zip codes) is most likely to be born in India. I don't know if it's just my luck but there also seems to be a sizable number of Indo-Caribbean people living here who have roots in Trinidad.
If you're going to work here, no reason to live anywhere but within the area. The Woodlands commute would be completely unreasonable, an easy 50 miles of gridlock up & down I-45.
