I am one of those people driving 60mph and texting and so forth....so this lifestyle fits me much better....I would run over the pedestrians if we had people clamoring everywhere for sidewalk space...lol

I guess i wont be riding my motorcycle around Houston too much when i move back there thanks to people like you.

i didn't say i was going to NY or any of those other "pedestrian cities",it's not about wether you are in pedestrian cities or not,it's about people messing around in their cages and not paying attention to what they are doing, wether they are going 5mph or 60mph it's still dangerous. But still that's not the topic of this thread,i wrote something else about the actual topic but somehow it didn't post it so i'll just forget about it.

cool...I just figured since you didnt like cities where everyone is going 60mph while texting, and since we've already established that Houston is one of those cities already, then you would enjoy living in one of the more "pedestrian" friendly "cities". Thats all.

March? Are you kidding? March is one of the most pleasant months in Houston weatherwise. The weather starts to become unpleasant around mid May to the early part of June

Looks like the weather's going to be pretty nice tomorrow, and I don't have to work. What should I go see?

Remember how somebody awhile back was talking about taking pictures of "the Real Houston?" Where's that? Since nobody delivered the goods, maybe I can.

As a rule of thumb, the closer you live to the Gulf waters, the higher the humidity will be.

First of all, I would like to say hello to all my Houstonians. I'm new to posting, but not new to the site.

I've lurked awhile and I too have noticed alot of negative views of Houston. I hate it when people blame it's being "ugly" because it's "flat" here. Not denying that. However, it's not like we can just go and grow some mountains, or pull the coast closer in to the city. Or clap our hands and make the coastal waters sparkling blue with white sands.

While at times, other issues of Houston may be understandable, and perhaps even controlled to some extent, like it's sprawl. People blaming the topography for why this city is "ugly" or "lame" is at the very least, shallow. We cannot help how flat it is here.

*steps off my soapbox*

=)
