Exclamation Urgent: Computer Repair in North Houston

Hi Guys,

My Dell laptop suddenly died yesterday night and I'm in school and need to get it fixed as soon as possible. I live in the Willowbrook Mall Area.

Looks like my laptop's power supply is the issue. Are there any good repair shops or technicians in this area who can replace or fix the power supply and/or the motherboard before Monday.

A quick reply is appreciated. Thanks.

I'd call the Geek Squad at Best Buy and see if they can help or refer you to someone.

I've used Geek Squad several times over the years and have always been pleased...until the last time. A Geek Squad girl came out and, after three hours, announced that she couldnt figure out how to fix my problem. She actually left my computer in worse shape than it was before she arrived. As a result of her work, I was unable to access my email program at all. Another Geek Squad tech had to come out and repair the extensive damage she did.

I'm not prejudiced against my own sex by any means, but the whole experience was so bad that, when I need Geek Squad again, I'll be sure to ask that she not be the one who responds. I may even request that no women ever work on my computer again.

Ha... Smuggy you better hope its just a PS issue... You cant simply replace or fix a laptops motherboard... most laptops are ONLY a motherboard with all the components hardwired.

Looks like it's mother board problem....2 techs suggested me against repairing or re-soldering it.

Ordererd a new lenovo some time ago. Didn't want to spend 350 on motherboard for a 800 dollar laptop. Bought a new for 700. It kinda sucks to spend money in this situation.
