Although it was a great game and a big win for Houston, I have to admit I disapprove of storming the field. Storming the field makes it appear you are surprised you won the game. Even though TT is a Big 12 team, you were the higher ranked team and playing at home. Act like you have been there before, even if you haven’t. You will never see Florida, Texas or USC storm the field, because they expect to win every game, even if they are the underdog.

Show some class, celebrate in the stands and leave the field to the players.

I see nothing wrong with "storming the field".
UH football has not had success like this in 20 years.
Who knows how long this will last and when it will happen again.
The students should be allowed to have some fun and show school spirit, especially for a supposed commuter school.

About the head coach, Sumlin.
He can say all he wants about liking the big city, UH, etc.
But all that goes out the door if some big name program comes calling with boatloads of cash.
There's no way UH would be able to match the salary, tradition, and spotlight of a big name program.

P.S. Which ever one of you guys took the 3 helmets, please return it by Friday. Thank you.

Oh, get that out of here. If anything, the storming of the field was done because they couldn't do it back at Oklahoma State. So, what do you say about Texas Tech storming the field last year when they beat UT? Nothing? I thought so (your argument is weak). It's been a LONG time for Houston to be this highly ranked in the polls. Let them storm the field if they want. Definitely looked fun.

Actually, that made me laugh, what was TT ranked at that time, 2? 3? There is much more justification for Houston storming the field than TT storming the field against Texas last year. TT storming the field last year showed they all knew it was a fluke and would lose that game 9 out of 10 times.

If you follow UH football at all you could see Houston was getting better and better. In the past few years they have consistently shown improvement and it was a mere matter of time before they would be nationally recognized as a good team.

I attended UH during a period in which they experienced the worst losing stretch in school history. If they would have won a game it would have been cause for pure joy, but not cause for storming the field.

I don't see how celebrating in the field equates to lack of class. It was an expression of joy and didn't hurt anything.

Stealing helmets is a different story.

The stealing of helmets just undid the positive vibe that was surrounding UH after the game...

ESPN had it on the front page, if you want to talk about being shamed... storming the field wasn't it

having ESPN put the loss of helmets on the front of their webpage instead of the big win was the big party pooper.

although it is a hilarous story.

now this is just heartbreaking... front page article at

ESPN.COM

Houston (8): "Sorry we got everyone's hopes up. Including our own. We'll slink back to relative anonymity now."

I know these people get paid to say things like this.. but this one really stings
