Anyone know how much corporate apartments run in Clear Lake, Webster or surrounding areas?

We stayed in a nice apt. complex when we were first transf. here 6 yrs ago. We were there for 4 months while our home was being completed. It was obscenely expensive and we both figured the Co. was being ripped off, but they put us there, so who were we to argue! Gated, 1 bedroom, furnished and on the water...on Marina Bay Blvd in ClearLake. I believe it was $1600. I'm guessing it could have come down in this economy.

They are about double the rate of an unfurnished apt. In Midtown they were running $2400/month.

Mine was a 2 br, furnished with biweekly cleaning. Barley cheaper than a $100/night hotel.

One option is to just rent the apartment yourself and go down to Cort Furniture, Furniture Rental for Home And Office Furniture, Corporate Housing, Relocation Services by Cort and just rent the total package, furniture and "soft goods" (glassware, toaster, linens, etc). Often times that is all the apartments do and then pad the price.

That's a good idea. Thanks for the tip.
