Town House vs. Single House
Is there any benefit of buying a town house such as:
13026 Lawsons Creek Ln, Houston, TX 77072 - HAR.com Lawsons Creek Ln
or
13007 Brutus Hill Ln, Houston, TX 77072 - HAR.com Brutus Hill Ln
Over a single house such as:
7826 Dairy View Ln, Houston, TX 77072 - HAR.com Dairy View Ln
or
12502 Ashford River, Houston, TX 77072 - HAR.com Ashford River
Where the single house's month maintenance fee is much lower?
Note, the cost and the location are very similiar.
By the way, how's the general area where those houses are located?

I would not live in Alief. I personally do not like the area at all. Also, it is not good for resale.

Depends.... are you buying it as an investment? Single family house will appreciate at a higher rate than a Town House because land and lot size will normally win when you look at it as an investments over time - in 30 years, the townhouse, if not exquisitely remodeled, will not be worth as much as a home on a nice lot where the buyer can do anything they want to upgrade the home. In some markets a townhouse can be much harder to sell when you get ready to leave.

Jobless.
Seriously, job is located at Westheimer and 610 Loop.
Are these locations better:
15334 Baxter Ave, Houston, TX 77084 - HAR.com Baxter Ave
7303 Gateridge Dr, Houston, TX 77041 - HAR.com Gateridge Dr

I'd pick the single family home in this situation. Better over all investment out in that area.

But I believe the driving distance is longer. Given that, Alief isn't that bad. It has a bad reputation, which I think is over exaggerated. A nice home there in a good neighborhood will be just fine. I recommend looking at the more established and taken care of neighborhoods. The newer homes in that area aren't necessarily better.

It has more high end areas than Alief and closer shopping. But Alief also has Sugarland, Memorial.
The two areas you posted aren't necessarily inside Alief or Copperfield, but that's the general area.
Also want to add, I've worked with properties in both areas, and I would probably pick the Alief area. I feel it has more appreciation potential.

Which one is it? You're contradicting yourself.
