What are some of the safe (but affortable) subdivisions near Meadows that has easy access to I-59?
I'm thinking maybe some areas slightly south of Meadows?

That's it? Those are the only two safe subdivisions near I-59 on the Southeast that have a shorter commute to downtown?

New Territory kinda is but it's still not as close as sugar creek and highlands.
Plus, I think getting otu of NT in the morning might be a bit of a hassle.

Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head that are right next to 59 and not super-expensive... sorry!
Greatwood is right next to 59, but it's way out there. You'll get on 59 quickly, just to sit in a bunch of traffic.
Most of the other neighborhoods next to 59, like Sweetwater and Sugar Lakes, are very $$$$....

You can get a Key Map from any bookstore ie Barnes & Noble and Borders. It's orange. I don't know if Wysiwyg was referring to the Key Map but I think it's great. You want to get a Fort Bend County Key Map.

It sure will, until the Grand Parkway is made into a freeway (which is real soon).

I don't know what affordable means exactly, but Sugar lakes is not as $$$ as Sweetwater. Non waterfront homes are just under 300K. Most homes are probably 300-400 with a few getting towards the million mark. You can get into less money by going to colony bend or williams grant, but those are 7 or 8 minutes off 59.
