Default Highways and interchanges in Houston

Houston has some of the biggest and most interesting interchanges I have seen in the country. Of course Dallas has the high five and theres that really big one in Los angeles(dunt know the name sorry), but Houston has several and all seem really cool!

Huge eyesores but they are necessary. It would be nice if they could all be tunneled.

Yeah the 59S/I10 is majestic. As well as the 45S/I10. The skyline views really let you know "you've made it".

Also worth noting is the 59S/Beltway 8 interchange, specifically as you approach from Beltway 8 to head north on 59. Downtown, TMC, and Galleria/Uptown can all be seen at once. The view from that height is remarkable.

I don't think they're eyesores, I think they're pretty neat, but yes, it would be nice if they were tunneled.

Tunnels are cool to use as storm drains, during floods.

BW8/45 south is just like the Dallas High-5. Too bad it's about as industrial looking as it can get. Oh well, fits the area.

Old People story---I remember when they finished the 610 loop. You could drive that thing and not see five cars. Would often just do laps at night with friends. No traffic at all. Ah, the good ole Days. Gas was 22.9. Five bucks would more than fill the tank of my 59 Buick convertible.

Dude, doing laps with at night sounds sweet!

I agree they kind of look industrial, and tunnels would be cool, but I still think they're pretty neat!

Yeah, no matter your opinion on cities run on cars, the exchanges and interchanges are modern engineering marvels and Houston has some of the best!
