Others team had made it much quicker like Carolina and Jacksonville.
There were whole lot of Niners fans there. Also lot of no shows for Reliant and a quiet stadium.

I guess you aren't familiar with the Texans situation then. I was waiting for the Carolina and Jacksonville comparisons to come out. Carolina and Jacksonville had more money and were given more draft picks than the Texans. The NFL screwed the Texans with the expansion draft.
And yeah, a lot of people from SF have moved to Houston. And your quiet statement thing isn't true. Reliant gets LOUD! Even during the preseason when we were playing the Vikings on MNF.
I'll take Reliant over Candlestick any day.

Jacksonville and (particularly) Carolina went about their first years much differently than the Texans did, gathering veterans rather than young players. It was more of a "win now" mentality. It worked in the short term, but it wound up biting them later when those older guys found their way out of the League.
Early drafts didn't turn out too well. Tony Boselli never played a down for the Texans, and he was supposed to be there to protect David Carr who also didn't pan out, partly because he had no protection. The next three years, the only draft picks to make a long-term impact were Andre Johnson and Dunta Robinson. Trading up and giving up three lower picks for a first-rounder to get Jason Babin didn't work. Then 2006 came, and people were ready to push Charley Casserly in front of a bus for picking Mario Williams over Reggie Bush and Vince Young. In hindsight that was probably the best decision Casserly ever made, and that draft was easily the best in franchise history with Williams, DeMeco Ryans and Owen Daniels leading the way. Daniels has been on a tear this year.
The Texans took a more traditional approach to building a team from the ground up, and they're on the right track. So while this goofus from San Fran has his team treading water at .500 in the weakest division in football, wondering who's going to start at QB next week and having to watch NFL Films to see the Niners win, Texans fans have a good reason to expect three straight wins with a trip to Buffalo.

All teams are treated equally. Candlestick Park's atmosphere is much better, we don't need a dome, picture perfect weather and its right by the beach. Texans were not just not good at drafting their players. I was there, it was not really loud except like late 4th quarter. Candlestick Park draws more sellouts and more crowd overall. 49ers are almost one of the most successful franchises.

Looks like Texans will miss the playoffs again.
Is there a way to tell how many 49ers fans moved to Houston in the last 10 years?
