Very simple, however the idea is completely lost on the Idiots who run our Government. Pipe dream my man, pipe dream...

The amount of money the Government brings in from sales tax, income tax, registration, fees, fines and penalties is staggering, yet they manage to outspend the income by another staggering $ amount, and we're not even gonna talk about the back debt we have. Truely dissapointing.

Texas does not have an income tax. It also has a balanced budget so I'm not sure what your talking about.

Don't hold your breath. Hell don't even think that way. Just tell yourself it's going to go up 10% every year and you'll pleasantly surprised every year it didn't. My next house will be outside a school district.

In a couple of years, I will be ancient enough to be exempt from school tax.---but all that money a gave them, and for what??--- What if a Person has no Kids?? why should they pay school taxes? Seems unfair to me.

I love the way the City judges the "improvements" I've made on my place in order to raise my taxes. Other than take out the trash, I have done nothing. Although I would love to make improvements, if they didn't tax me to death already for improvements I haven't made. Weird kinda logic I guess.

Education is a common good that benefits everyone in society and one that you took advantage of when you were a child. What if all the cranky, selfish old people like yourself had said the same thing when you were a kid and you weren't able to go to school?

Yeah well, last I checked this year Texas is one of only six states who ISN'T spending more than we give them. So...your point?

Frankly, I think it's AWESOME that we have no state income tax, it was a HUGE raise for use moving here in that respect, and if you don't buy the biggest house you can afford your property tax is no big deal. At least it isn't for us.

Sweet talkin me won't help your case. I provided my Sons with an education, out of my own pocket. Did you help with that? It is not my job to provide for other peoples Kids. That is their responsibility. I have always paid my own way, with no help from any Gubment agency.
