This is good for businesses right?

you cant "zone" the poor.
But they are still low-income housing. Yes, you can still live there even if you make over 6 figure.

I believe you have some income limits to qualify for section 8 housing.

I use to be a caseworker for Section 8 and yes there are some crappy tenants but not all of them.

I have seen many people take the time they have assistance to buy their own home, go to school and better themselves. Just because people aren't at a high point in their lives doesn't mean they don't "deserve" to live in nice areas.
I am not saying they are bad. They still do the background and credit check. Its hard to qualify also. To get a 2 bed/2 bath, household income has to be below $30K a year.

I remember a few years ago there was a big-to-do about a very nice complex/condos to be built for the poor in maybe Denver/Detriot... and one of the 60/48/20/20 shows did a few reports about it.

There was one case in particular of a guy with a son trying to get accepted for residence in the complex but turned out he wasn't poor enough or something.

What ever happened to that... if anyone knows what I'm talking about?

No one needs to live in a great part of town. If everyone had that opportunity, there would no longer be great parts of town.

I don't have a problem with the rich pricing the middle class and the poor out of nice neighborhoods. What I do have a problem with is the government forcing the rich to live right next to the poor, driving their property values down, and then completely leaving out the hard-working middle class.

Should luxury car manufacturers be forced to sell high-end vehicles to the poor for budget car prices? NO! That would be absolutely ridiculous.

I don't have a problem with low income housing, but it should not be forced in well-established neighborhoods.
