Jersey Village red light camera rip-off!
I am so ticked off and this didn't even happen to me! A friend at work received a ticket for "running a red light" on the 290 feeder road. She turned right onto the Beltway feeder and the video showed the light was yellow...the car behind her also went thru the light and it was yellow when that car entered the intersection. I looked at it before she decided to protest the ticket.
She goes to court today and they tell her the light was actually red, that it just LOOKS yellow in all of the videos. Guilty. What type of BS is that, if they can't even produce a video that shows a red light?

Yeah, I've noticed the same. They have red light cameras at Westheimer/610 and I KNOW that. Yet, I have received 2 tickets in the last year. I never ever run the damn red light. I don't get it, but there's not much you can do.

I have noticed that to at 610 & San Felipe if you pull out a little in the intersection when the light is red the red light camera goes off & a 50% chance that someone got a ticket

There are some problems with your post. If she was driving on the 290 feeder and turned right on beltway 8, there would be no red light camera. That intersection doesn't have any red light cameras in any direction.
Assuming you mean she was going north on beltway 8 feeder and turned right onto the 290 feeder, there is still no red light camera. Only the three left lanes of the beltway 8 feeder are monitored by the red light camera. If she turned right from one of those lanes, it's illegal.

It would be easy to determine if the light is red or yellow by looking at the position of the light, not just the color. The yellow light is always the middle light.

so if it looks yellow, sounds yellow, smells yellow, isnt the light red? jersey village is a joke, man that town is a WANNABE speed trap type place. their cops are jerks, their speed limits are ridiculous. i avoid that place if at all possible.

I agree with SuperMac...the position of the light will tell all. It's a no brainer.

Also remember that running the red light, is not when you enter the intersection. If you pass the first solid white line after the light changes to red, you have run the red light. Which, at 290 / Senate Ave, is at least 7 feet before the intersection.

wait, reading the OP, she turned right? on a possible red? is there a no right on red sign? now obviously you have to stop at the red 1st but she got a ticket for running a red on a right turn?

there is not a "no right on red" sign, but there isn't a camera at the intersection she claimed to turn right on anyway
