Huh?
'WTF is a Partnership Walk' is what I first thought, then I searched Google. Good cause, but why don't we help the homeless and destitute in our own country first? When is that walk?

Partnership Walk is a public event to raise awareness and show how people can make a difference in ending global poverty. Partnership Walk promotes partnerships among Americans and people in the developing world. The Walk brings together families, leaders in government, business, media and the arts as well as teams from corporations, schools, clubs and community groups for a day of learning, fun and fundraising. The Walk raises funds for innovative, cost-effective projects that improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable – especially women and children– in some of the poorest areas of Asia and Africa. The Walk is a special occasionfor people to act locally and make an impact globally. Participants take part in a global network of concerned citizens that begins at the grassroots in your own community. Partnership Walk is organized by a network of AKF USA volunteers across American communities.

No, the Aga Khan Foundation is a leg of the Aga Khan Development Network, an Islamic organization that seeks to help countries in Asia, the Middle East and Africa, for the most part. They do not appear to help countries in the West where there is rampant poverty, at least I could find no facts to back this up whereas they do document their work in the places I mentioned.
The organization claims to be non-denominational, yet they only appear to help Muslim countries. 'Not saying there is anything wrong with that, but my point is they do not help any country near us. If we don't help ourselves, how can we help others?
It is not a bad organization, they just don't advertise everything about themselves, you have to dig for these answers. Their CEO also earns over 200K year, and lives in Switzerland, and they do not disclose their operating expenses.
In the end, not much different than those organizations here in the US, but those in the US tend to help those same people, plus the rest of the world, the Aga Khan Foundation only helps those in Africa, the ME, and Asia.
