Default Best areas for single black professionals in Houston.

I am a 40-something single black female considering a move to Houston. I'm interested in homes in areas with other single black professionals. Any suggestions on good areas to consider?

I've only been in Houston since July 2006 and was single to at that time. Not being here very long and just getting know the city (Houston is a very big city literally) I'd say you might want to lease for a year or so. This is what I am doing now and this will give you adequate time to experience the different areas of the city and decide on where to buy. 50% of Houston is leasing their living space. From what I observed, Houston does not seem to be segregated by race but rather by class. But Memorial, Galleria, River Oaks are really nice areas.
