Default moving to houston from miami

My husband and I are seriously considering moving to Houston from Miami, Fl. He might possibly take a job in the Woodlands. I have a friend who lives in Tomball and am wondering what is the best place to live. We currently live in a 2 bedroom/2bath townhome, the price of which could get us a 4+ bedroom home in houston so we are excited about this, plus having land.
How are property taxes there and what area(s) do you recommend we look to for moving. School would be important too as we have a 17 mos old and we will like to think about his schooling in the future. Thanks!

If your husband is working in The Woodlands, move there. You will not be dissapointed.
