My BF and I want to move out of our apartment and into a house. We are thinking of sharing it with another person or two, but I don't know how to even start looking at houses for rent. I have tried a few websites, but I can rarely find a house in the general area I am hoping for. The only house I have ever rented was in college, and we found it through our college website housing listing. I try different searches, and come across many more apartments than homes.

We would like to rent a 3-4 bedroom in The Woodlands or Spring. Can anyone point me in a direction that can get me started? Websites that are specific for houses, rental agencies, listings of landlords with rental properties in certain areas, etc?

Thank you in advance!

We used har.com to find our rental while we were still in SoCal last year. Found a very nice place & a great landlord in The Woodlands (Cochran's Village).

HAR is the best choice. I see quite a few rentals. BTW, there is a great deal from the IRS this year to go straight to buying one. A nice credit to encourage new buyers.

Houston Real Estate - Houston Homes, Houston Home Value and Houston Relocation is the best. Also craigslist for independently listed rentals.
