Cost of a pool
I am looking into putting in a new pool. We want it about 10 deep at one end, ending in a beach entry. We'd like it to be about 20' long by 16' wide, rectangular, no fancy curves. We's like a saltwater system and a heater. No rock waterfalls but ideally we would have two 20" "zero edge"? fountains, they look like they are coming from nowhere, but have to be built up a little so they CAN come from somewhere. No spa. Stone coping with cool decking, tile at the water edge, no sitting spot up against the edge in the deeper end. A slide or diving board. That's it. Seems fairly basic except the fountains.
Do anyone have any idea (just a ballpark) what the cost would be??
Thanks for any information you can give!

Expect to pay around $35-40K for that. Saltwater, fountains, slide/board, and a beach edge are not "basic". Basic is a chlorine system, kidney, rectangle or oval shape, and no frills with brick or concrete coping and concrete or river rock decking.
For resale value, I'd skip the fountains, slide, and beach edge and install a spa with the pool. Just my opinion though.
Try http://www.lagunapools.com in Katy, they do BEAUTIFUL stuff. Good luck!

If you find you need to "drop" certain things due to price, just don't change your mind on having a salt water pool. Salt water systems are lower maintenance. Good luck. btw, the PP guess of $35-$40K is exactly what I was thinking. But I find I need to add about $10K onto how much I think something should cost. lol. Good luck! ~K~

A 10ft residental pool is not the norm, expect to pay extra for that too.
