I hear that many people are interested in knowing what will happen to the large piece of land in Telfair on the south side of 59, which is next to the existing Avalon community

here is the lastest news

Taylor Morrison has purchased 108 acres from Newland Communities for an upscale community, Avalon at Telfair, in Sugar Land, TX. The community, being developed by Taylor Morrison in partnership with Newland Communities, will feature 270 Taylor Morrison homes from high $400,000s to over $1 million.

That's the land on the south side of 59 next to the existing Avalon community

Construction of Taylor Morrison's model homes will begin in February with pre-grand opening sales of homes on 70-, 80- and 90-ft. home sites starting in March 2010.

PM me if anyone want more information

Also Beazer homes started selling its model homes in 60 lot

Looks like the current 60 lot section for Meritage/Ryland/Beazer is the last 60 lot section for these builders in telfair

I'd rather see them build more of Trendmaker's designs. They just really know how to lay out a floor plan. David Weekly would be great as long as they make sure the elevations are changed a bit so they aren't so ugly like Dave likes them.

Talked to the new sales agent. She said a lot is up in the air at this time. Did mention though if you want to get a look at their plans visit Cinco Ranch 70' plans. Supposedly they can build in 4-5 months and a little longer for the 90' section as they will be allowing more customization. She wasn't certain on taxes. Hopefully its the same as the rest of Telfair (3.2%)
