I went to this place when I was back in town a few years ago. Perfect place if you like old school bars and actually enjoy being able to hear the people you're with. It's right off Main St. too.

Oh, nooooo. Not at all. Now, those places I listed are not strictly 35+, but they are establishments that my 35+ friends frequent. I've only been to Myles J, though.

You should just google. There are too many places to list. Depends on what kind of vibe you're looking for, what kind of music you're into...

they have their own wetbars people here gather friends to their homes, show off a few additions to their homes, pools, gardens and their killer turf. also people hang out closer to home, either in popular restaurants, local sportsbars and local small time joints, pool halls. local hooters maybe. maybe you should be asking about a specific locality so the locals can make better suggestions

Good to hear! Maybe we could list some more age-appropriate watering holes and clubs for persons 30+? I used to love Drink Houston when I was in my late 20's, and still love to dance, but don't want to deal with "ghetto-ness", shootings or 21 year old girls standing around the dancefloor and text messaging their friends.

35+ hang outs
I visited Myles J and didn't enjoy it at all. In the middle of us trying to have dinner some heavy set guy got on the mic and started acting like it was a night club in vegas. They there were so many guys just hanging out. Too many youngsters just hanging out. Also we asked for a wine to compliment our dinner well the server couldn't pronounce the selections and it was served in the wrong glass. I will try it again, maybe it has changed.
