Default Katy (77493) and Spring (77388) Anyone have any help on these areas?

My husband has headed to Houston, and he's started to look for homes. (We won't join him until later this summer)
We have looked online, and he'll be going to see homes starting Sunday. I'm trying to do some research online first...We're wondering about the 77493 zip code, more specifically Heritage Park West in Katy. Does anyone know much about the area? Schools, safety, neighborhood, etc?
We're also wondering about 77388 in Spring, more specifically Enchanted Oaks Subdivision.

Thanks!!

I live in 77493. I believe your kids would go to Katy HS, Katy Junior High and Katy Elementary. There is a link on the KISD web site where you can put in the neighborhood and it will tell you where your kiddos would go to school. It is nice and quiet around here. I do not live in Heritage Park though so I can not give you any specific facts. It is always helpful to look at the school snapshot reports on the TEA website if schools are your concern.

i moved here from CA about 3 years ago. really look into where you move. there are a lot of new areas that have become now income rental properties. everyone here brags about katy ISD but depending on where you come it isnt that great. it doesnt even come close to the school my kids were in while we lived in CA. I live off fry north of clay road, its ok but i wish i would have waited. there are homes all over katy area that are sitting empty.
