Whoa, I didn't know that Houston is going to be getting another amusement park with EQA and that park in Galveston. That's just amazing for Houston.

There are actually plenty of stores open in Phase I. It's all of the stores that were in the previous development at the same site (save for Eatsi's).

There's none. I checked the site thoroughly. I see pictures of a Hermes, a New Balance store, etc. The only thing I see is it saying 100 upscale stores. I wonder how upscale can the stores get if The Galleria is right there.

The first time I go there, it will be to check it out, and I might get something if I really like it. If I think its a nice place to shop after my assessment then I will continue to go back.

They are different styles, the Galleria is an enclosed mall, and this is an outdoor shopping place. This will enhance pedestrian activity in Uptown and lead for more pedestrian friendly tactics to be applied in Uptown. The Galleria is what it is, and thats the flagship mall of the Houston Metropolitan Area and it wont be going anywhere at all.

Haha checked it out? I really hope they build that Ritz Carlton Hotel, that thing just looked beautiful. It would be a beautiful addition to Uptown Houston, all 60 floors of it.

The two developments that I am very interested in are Regent Square (probably my favorite one) & West Ave (my 2nd favorite one). With rivers Oak District coming in at a distant 3rd, its got the design but I doubt it will be built though, it seems like it has a 50/50 chance at the best.
West Avenue is already done, and they have Phase II & III still left to go but it looks beautiful. That design is amazing, and Regent Square in general is just straight up on another level, I cant wait until 2011-2012 when they kick it off the ground and start the work on it.

I looked at the BLVD Place website also. They have redone the old Pavilion on Post Oak (1800 Post Oak Blvd.). That is where Saks Fifth Ave. was originally located but the mall never quite took off. They also incorporated the even side of the 1700 block of Post Oak into the development.
