Why wouldn't want to trench the triangle? Driving through downtown Atlanta on the connector gives you a rush feeling because you are like this small figure many feet down with tall buildings all around you.

Hey aspiring civil engineer, why dont you google 'maps' and look at the city freeways. Then perhaps check the elevations and water table. It may be a good learning experience.
