Which is why we put up two bids (2012 and 2016 Olympics)? If Houston didn't care, then the city wouldn't have accepted the USOC invitation. Houston is also trying to get the 2020 Expo.

Last thing Houston needs is to host the Olympics. Montreal just paid off the debt from the last Olympics and it caused Greece to go bankrupt.

Focus on improving the infastructure first.

I believe Atlanta is still paying for it.

I think Atlanta was able to pay it off but it was criticized as being too commercial due to heavy use of sponsorships from companies such as Coca Cola.
