Default Are north-facing windows in winter cold?

I am considering a condo with north-facing windows. I think the summer AC bills will be better than the west-facing one I thought about months ago. But will it be cold in the winter? it is 900 square feet.

North facing windows should get you the best energy savings in summer, but your condo will never see sunshine.
There are other measures to keep the cooling costs low like tint, solar blinds and fans, efficient thermostat and energy saving appliances.
I would not worry much about the few days in winter...

Still, gas heating is cheaper than electric cooling. So, if you are thinking $$$, north facing windows will do the best.

But, if you are always feeling little cold, the east/south windows could be better for you, because you are not going to set your cooling thermostat to 68F like many people do. You probably will feel content in 72-74F range.

Because your highest utility bill is during the long months of summer.
The winter is not usually long or cold, and gas heating is not expensive.

As far south as Houston is I don't see where it would make the least bit of difference.
