Oh! I just thought that was kind of wierd considering that the county was luring 5,000+ people annually to just losing almost 3,000 people last year.

Because of Ike. And really, the loss only came from the City of Galveston. It's a reason why Harris County's growth bumped up. Galveston County will show gains this year.

its a tie between The Woodlands and Sugarland. Katy area/Cinco ranch is nice too.

That's good. Maybe if it would have gained the same number that it has for years, then maybe the Houston metro would have added more people than any metro beating out Dallas.

Like I said, the City of Galveston is why the population of Galveston County dropped. Most of those people moved elsewhere throughout the Houston metro. Even then, the difference between DFW's growth and Houston's growth this year was less than 6K.
