LOL at the last 2 posts

I got lost in La Marque once, and also Texas City. Let's just say what I found would make those my nominations. Now that I think about it, Bacliff/San Leon has some areas that scared the mess out of me, too.

Every suburb of Houston is the worst for different reasons.

Worst for the poor: Piney Point Village
Worst for those who support Arizona's immigration laws: Pasadena
Worst for New Yorkers: Jersey Village
Worst for diabetics: Sugar Land
Worst for Simon and Theodore: Alvin
Worst for black homeowners: Bellaire
Worst for short, scrawny teenagers that can't catch: Katy
Worst for people who like to get to work within four hours: The Woodlands
Worst for drivers who roll their stops: Meadows Place
Worst for bad spellers: Atascocita

Haha, I'd say either the 'Dena (Pasadena) or Galena Park/Deer Park. Anywhere super close to an oil refinery.

Even though Deer Park is close to a refinery, it's actually a really nice suburb.

People always lump all of Pasadena into that little section at the top. They forget that the more south
you go, the more suburban it becomes, especially in the sense of resembling the neighboring suburbs,
like Deer Park, Pearland, etc. So it really isn't ALL bad.

Pasadena, as a whole isn't a ghetto filled with Mexicans, where you can smell the refineries. It actually has
some good schools, with the district overall having only 1 unacceptable school.

And although perceived as bad, Pasadena has a little bit of culture and history, and that, imo, will always make
Pasadena better than any other neighboring suburbs who view this city negatively.

And Pasadena was once the "Stawberry Capital of the World", due to the Galveston Hurricane of 1900 and
Clara Barton helping victims become strawberry farmers. We honor it by having the Strawberry Festival. Pasadena
played a role in the battle of San Jacinto, thereby playing a part in the history of TX. Then there's that whole Gilley's/Urban Cowboy. We also have our own livestock show and rodeo, obviously a lot smaller than Houston's.

Our economy is linked to NASA/Refineries and Petrochemical refineries/Ship Channel, as opposed to a
Walmart or an HEB. The Armand Bayou Nature Center is one of the nation's largest urban nature perserves,
and is located in the southern part of the city. Theres public transportation here, available through METRO
and Harris County Transit.

I get it, because we don't have cookie cutter homes and master planned communities, along with the bad
smell that people forget doesn't travel throughout the entire city, otherwise the areas around Ellington Field/So. Houston/Clear Lake would smell it too, that makes our city somewhat undesirable, but I'll take the bad smell over
having to live in a souless cul de sac. No offense of course, some people like that safe suburban environment.

But theres a lot of undeserved perceptions of Pasadena, I mean it'd be like visiting the East End or Denver
Harbor or Channelview, and perceiving all of Houston to belike that. Almost everything around and below
Fairmont Parkway is not much different from Deer Park, etc.

Sorry for my rant. But Pasadena is not even a true suburb in most senses, anyhow.
