You do, but blacks aren't flocking to those areas.

There always has to be one moron in the group.
Everyone was having a civil discussion on demographics in the Houston area until you had to come along and try to ruin it.
Good job.

Houston definitely has the largest Asian community in Texas.

Yeah that's definitely what I thought too.

DFW is still behind from what I remember on Asian population.

They have more South Asians, we have more Chinese.
They have more Koreans, we have more Vietnamese.

We have more Japanese, Cambodians, Thai's, Indonesians, Filipino's, Singaporeans, and Mongolians.

Houston seems way more intergrated than Dallas as far as the Black population. Dallas' AA population tends to be thicker in the southern burbs while Houston's is everywhere. Atlanta's AA population is dispersed everywhere too, but there are still counties where blacks are overwhelmingly the majority. DC is the same way.

As you can see, Houston Metropolitan area has just now recently passed that mark.
I think the OP was asking about Houston proper. The Houston MSA, aka the Houston-Sugar Land - Baytown area, as defined by the US Census, includes 10 counties. They are listed below with population figures as of the 2008 U.S. Census estimates.[12][13]
