Hi all,

I'm interested in moving to Houston and would like to find our assistance in sources of local jobs. I has 10+ years of experience in software/IT and 7+ as a project manager. I currently work in Medical device industry.

I have looked at monster.com, indeed.com and simplyhired.com but haven't found much.

Does Houston has some local job board/site that you can refer me to?
Or are there head hunter/staffing company that you can refer me to?

I would love to have the opportunity to work for oil & gas industry but I'm open to any industry. Are there any energy job board or tips that you can give me?

- Thanks a bunch.
MNCold.

I should mention that I got a list of Oil & Gas companies in Houston and has been searching on company's website for jobs. I have found none in IT/software - which is hard to believe b/c they obviously lots of IT/software support. Does anyone have a clue of where to look? It doesn't have to be with Oil and Gas. If you have names of other companies, I'd appreciate as well.

I'd keep trying keywords on indeed.com. Try every other day or so, new things come up.

I'm in the 3d design field and it's been hard for me to find jobs around Houston. Most of the places are oil and gas like you mention and if there are IT software or design places they are either not hiring ,very small staff, or don't advertise they are hiring (which is then a pain to find these places). You might have to find someone that knows where these places are around town.

I live in Houston, and I want to know where to find tech jobs, too. Clear Lake is projected to lose a boat load of engineering/software jobs late Fall, and mine is likely one of them. I haven't had to interview in a decade, and now it seems everything is found through word of mouth. So yeah I am looking for tips too

Why is Clear Lake losing these jobs?

Every school needs a tech person. Try looking at private and public schools.

No more shoveling for you!
