Can anyone recommend a good ceiling store fan in Pearland/Sugarland/League City area? I know the big box suppliers have them, but I'm looking for a lighting store that has lots in inventory.. pull in, pick, pay, drive out with it.

Thanks in advance.

Ronnie

I'm afraid those big box joints have put all the little guys out of business. All the places I knew about are long gone! Remember those places that sold nothing but lights, lightbulbs, neon, and ceiling fans? I can't think of a single one that is still around. I hope you find one!

Universal Lights is on Highway 90 near Kirkwood/Dulles. I've never been there, but I think it's been there for years. Designer Lighting Product Residential, Commercial Light Fixture

Perfect. That's exactly what I'm looking for.

Thank you,

Ronnie

Check out the Casablanca line, Ronnie. They are highly customizable, you buy the light kit and blades separately. We just bought one and I'm pretty impressed with the heft of the motor, seems like it's built to last compared to the big box store fans.

Why does the fan have to be so special and unique?

If you truly need a fan then theoretically you will have it "on" a lot. If you have it "on" a lot then it will be going around in circles. And you can't stare at it while it is going around in circles.

If you do not intend to run it "on" a lot... then you don't really need a ceiling fan...

Home Depot and Lowes has plenty to choose from... Walmart for the garage.

Have a great weekend...

Why do people install different light fixtures from what the builder puts in? Why do people put in unique faucets? Why do people change the color of the paint on their walls? People just like to personalize their house to their tastes, I guess..

All great questions. As I type this I am looking up at the $350 ceiling fan my wife spent months thinking about and then several days shopping all over to find... oddly... it is a fan blade going around in a circle... for $150 I could have found one just the same at Home Depot or Lowes. My wife is out in the back yard deciding what type of furniture to get to go around our pool. She is 'not happy' with the $2500 worth of furniture we got last year. I guess a guy and a gal have different priorities.

Enjoy your Holiday weekend.
