Don't forget to add Trader Joe's to the list. (yea, not fast food, but it's really the one store I most want here).

Trader Joe's may not be far away. The same company owns the Aldi's chain of grocery store that is expanding in DFW and has a distribution center here. (So I have heard.)

Del Taco used to be in Houston. They pulled out of the market somewhere between 1983 - 1986. They used to run commercials here all the time. They had a little jingle that went like this: Del Taco Mexican Cafe and drive-thru. I remember it perfectly. They had a location at F.M. 1960 and Aldine Westfield Road near the former Gerland's Food Fair and catacorner from the former Safeway (who pulled out of the Houston market in 1992 due to the fierce competion fom Randall's and Kroger. That said, Safeway purchasd Randall's in 1998.) It is a Popeye's now. There was a location on the corner of Telephone Road and Fuqua Street. Today it is Los Jaliences. They had a location on West 43rd Street near Ella. That is just what I can remember. They were all over the city. All of their locations were identical. If you grew up in Houston you should know this. Even today you can look at some of the former locations and recognize their buildings. They have not been altered to much.

Anybody know if Carl's Jr is still coming to Houston? I also think an El Pollo Loco would do excellent here.

In-And-Out Burger is so GOOD!

Im from Oakland, Ca.
There is an In-And-Out Burger all the way in East Oakland.
You'll be amased of how many people actually travel from all over Oakland just to get something from In-And-Out.

What I get? Double Double, with some fries. I put 1/3 of the fries between my burger.

Chicken Express needs to expand throughout Houston. They have a location in New Waverly I believe. They have them all over DFW and I LOVE them. Their Sweet Tea is top notch. I have no idea why they're scared of Houston. I'm sure they would do well if they expanded throughout the area, because Houston doesn't have a chain like them.
