I've been here a couple times and it was 'good for a buffet', had a nice variety to choose from.

Some good tips. I'll probably be trying Hunan chef and Lucky Village. All the Cafe East buffet's have been horrible in my experience. I'm a veteran Chinese food buffeter so I know a good buffet when I have it.

We tried this Lucky Village place on Dairy Ashford last night. I'm putting it into the 'will never go back' list. The place is old and run down (kinda surprised this area hasnt taken off since I saw it 3.5 years ago). The crew is older and fewer, the utensils are really old. The buffet line was long but the food was in 'cold condition' even at 7-8pm. theres not many patrons so the turn over is slow. its totally not worth it for standard chinese buffet food

Lucky Village has kind of gone downhill over the years. It's comparable with Wok Bo. I've heard Lam Bo on Westheimer is good.

Lucky Village on DA is really good (for a Chinese Buffet) the only catch is we always go at lunch. That is the key, lots of offices in the area and the place is busy, meaning a lot of food turnover.

I've eaten there a couple of times and didn't really care much for it.
And its not a buffet.
It's more of a fast-food/Chinese/fried chicken joint.
