Costs in West Virginia (Huntington: apartments, for rent, houses)

Most of the things that you listed will vary in cost depending on what you are able to afford, what your tastes are and how conservative you are with use. Apartments and houses can be found for rent in the size you are looking for with a cost of $500 or $600 per month or upwards of $1,000 per month. $1,000 per month would get you something very nice with most of the luxuries you would want. With regards to cars, you could likely buy a used car in the $8,000 range but for something newer and more reliable, you would be in the $14,000 range. Electric bill will be around $80-$90 per month if you have gas and although initially higher, our gas bill is now $76 per month on the budget plan after doing some weatherizing with our windows. For a family of 2, water will likely run you about $50 per month. Phone, internet and cable can be combined for about $140 per month for all 3 for high-speed internet and high definition TV but can be much cheaper for lower packages.

Out of curiosity, where are you moving from? Huntington is a great place that is easy to get around in, lots to do with what the city offers and what Marshall University offers. We have the largest mall in the state here, several great museums and a push to really revitalize the city. If you need any further information, feel free to ask. Thanks for your reply; this really helps me a lot to try and found a reference of cost of living there, and to answer your questions im thinking of moving from Laredo Texas.
