It takes a business oriented person to attract business, and we have only had a few of those recently in state office! Mallony would be another!

Open for business equals corrupt? first time I've heard that one, and unless you post it again probably the last!
By open for business it means you pay them and they do what you want. That is the very definition of corruption. Mallony is from Morgantown so he is probably a great guy that can help the state.

Of course he is. He got an MBA from Marshall. That qualifies him to be assistant fry cook at McDonalds.

Actually any McDonald's employee should be honored they are more competent than a Marshall MBA. I would give more responsibility to a teenager than a Marshall MBA.

Anyway we both seem to agree the candidate from Morgantown is the best. Already Morgantown is exerting its positive influence on the state. Only a matter of time until things change for the better.

A degree from Marshall goes just as far as a degree from WVU! Marshall actually has a great University, with alot newer campus!

New isnt always good. Should Harvard bulldoze down there campus to put in some ugly modern art structures. There "new" campus is ugly. Also a degree from Marshall will take you far; far into the unemployment office. Marshall is worse than an online for profit university. Just another pork project from Charleston to Huntington. They are afraid if Marshall isnt around they would have to give something to Morgantown. God Forbid!

Your full of yourself! Marshall has every right to be a college, same as WVU! And enough with the pork crap, Morgantown has got enough pork in its recent history that its not even funny! Examples: WVU PRT Expansion, new University High School, new student sports fields, new Evansdale Campus, new bus/prt terminal, you name it state has given it!

LOL, all your examples are of how Charleston ignores Morgantown.

PRT built with federal funds. Needed an expansion for over 20 years. WVU took money out of its own funding to expand it because Charleston wouldnt give a dime to help it since it was in Morgantown. If it were in Charleston it would get an expansion every year.

New University High School?!? The building was close to 100 years old and made for a quarter of the students that went there. UHS was extremely overcrowded and they were resorting to moving students out to trailers to be able to teach them. They ran out of room for trailers. Finally Morgantown passed a local tax to fund the new school because Charleston made it clear that building schools in Mon County wasnt a priority. If a school in Charleston was half as crowded as UHS was they would have built them a new school much quicker. Hell they would have done that for a small school in rural WV several times over before they would give money to Mon County.

Those new fields you mentioned. Given by donors especially the Mylan family who started in Morgantown. You see Morgantown actually builds things on its own instead of stealing them.

New Evansdale campus? There is no new campus. There is some new dorms, but the old dorms were overcrowded, and WVU used its own funding to build new ones. No extra help from the state.

New bus terminal. That was done by local government. Some federal assistance was used, but that is because Obama was giving money to increase public transportation. The buses here are from a private company. Im sure in Charleston they are subsidized by the state.

You didnt name 1 pork barrel project from the state. Everything you mentioned Morgantown got on its own without any help from Charleston. Notice how they actually build more from Charleston, but do it on their own. That is why Morgantown is succeeding, while Charleston is failing.

Marshall is a fourth tier toilet school. It is not a college. It is the 13 grade. The average freshman at WVU is more intelligent than a Marshall grad. Marshall was a way for Charleston to embezzle money from northern WV and give it to Huntington.

First off, you know nothing about Marshall University, all you can do is insult it! That's It!

Second, all of those projects I mentioned were given through "state grants" The new Evansdale campus will replace several of the existing structures and will add a few new ones! University high shool was the biggest pork project of them all! The mommies and daddies that know people in the state office pulled some strings to get that building! PRT expansion is not needed and was another state grant! Sports Fields might have some generous donations, but the state has a price too! Plus they are not needed at all!

And if you want to talk bad about our state government, then don't reffer to it as Charleston! The state government is all in bed with WVU and its NCWV reps! Charleston is the capital's host city, not any political machine that controls the state funds! Nor does our cities businesses or wealty residents!
