HUNTINGTON -- Two more vacant homes in Huntington burned early Tuesday morning as state and local investigators grapple with a rash of suspected arsons.
The most recent fires were at 2138 10th Ave. in East Huntington and 3701 Hilltop Dr. in Guyandotte. Those happened just hours after investigators believe somebody tried to torch 722 4th St. for a second time in about two weeks.
Investigators now estimate there have been 40 suspicious fires in Huntington since Nov. 3.
Yeah, they need to get this under control. Hopefully it's just irony that this started about the same time that they were trying to decrease firefighter staffing. It seems as though whoever is doing this has a list of vacant houses.
