They do have 2 or 3 sandwiches made from waffles and cinnamon rolls as well.

Noticed this morning that the old Max and Erma’s space is gutted with active work going on inside. That was some quick turn around. Hopefully something good goes in there. It would be a great spot for a brewery.

That is a quick turnaround. Hopefully it means whatever is moving into that space will be there soon.

We had breakfast at Dang Good Cinnamon Rolls. The food was really good. Just be prepared for a sugar rush, unless you ask them to go easy on the icing. Especially on the waffles. I plan to go back in the next week or two and try one of the lunch waffle sandwiches.

I had the plain jane waffle and the fruit and whip cream waffle. Neither seemed overly sweet but neither really had syrup or icing. I haven't tried a cinnamon roll yet. My wife had one of the waffle sandwiches and she really liked it.

Unless you want really sweet, ask them to go easy on the icing for the cinnamon roll and cinnamon roll waffle. Both are pretty good, and seemed like high quality, just a little too much icing.

Jim's Steak and Spaghetti House is a true Huntington tradition and is considered one of the city's most iconic restaurants.

On Wednesday, Jim's was named the 2019 America's Classics winner in the Southeast region by the James Beard Foundation.
Quote:
Each year since 1998, the James Beard Foundation Awards Committee has recognized the nation's beloved regional restaurants. In the history of the awards program, nobody has ever taken a James Beard medal home to West Virginia.

"It's such an honor and very humbling to be the first restaurant in the state to receive this award," Carder said.

Thatís fantastic. We hit their drive thru at least once a week during work day and Brendan always talks to us for about 5 minutes. I think he enjoys getting to know his customers.
