Bulldog Creative, a local Huntington firm, actually helped to make the video. That probably helped since not only are they part of the area and know it well, but they are an award winning firm too.

With regards to the Greenbrier, they did clearly state that it was a few hours away. It was likely included though because the local historical train society offers a few Greenbrier train trips throughout the year. It probably would have been better if they would have taken that angle with it though.

I actually thought mentioning the Greenbriar was a longshot along with the others but now knowing this, it makes more sense.

It was a poor decision IMO. It took the focus away from Huntington. I mean Huntington has a bus line you could also mention you could catch a bus to X. In Tim's context it does make more sense, but it wasnt presented like that in the video.

When marketing Huntington I would stick to Huntington, unless you want to start listing locations Huntington is kinda near, and in that case only naming the Greenbrier is under doing it. Why not mention Snowshoe and other state parks a few hours if you are going to throw in the Greenbrier?

Also, you are taking people away from Huntington. If they are in Greenbrier they are not in Huntington. I would have kept the attention on Huntington.

It doesnt break the video. It was barely mentioned while the rest stuck on Huntington. However, it is not consistent and doesnt fit in with the rest of the video.

They actually did mention Snowshoe, Winter Place, and Canaan Valley in addition to white water rafting on the New and Gauley Rivers, the zip lines there and ATV riding on the Hatfield-McCoy trails. They actually started the segment with "If you want to expand your adventures, Huntington is within hours of...." I understand including it as they are just showing other popular options in WV that are close by. I understand your point about focusing on the Huntington area though and felt that they did pretty good with that, with the exception of that segment.

I don't think its a bad idea to include the segment about Snowshoe, Winterplace, Greenbrier, etc. because those are all places that people living in the Huntington area visit and use for recreation. A lot of cities use the same type of approach when describing their city and the surrounding areas and those entertainment/recreation options.
