It seems like there is a lot going on in Huntington. I am just anxious to see the culmination of the effects of these projects. Even 5 years from now, it will be quite a different place.

Especially if Mayor Williams stays at the helm and keeps actively seeking improvement. If they can get the ACF property redeveloped, downtown keeps growing and then Marshall sees some good growth, things will really take off.

I'll actually be moving to Royal Oaks. Where exactly are the new buildings going up in relation to the currently standing ones?

They are closer to I-64 and higher up the hill.

That's what I figured. Should be interesting to see how much more property they purchase and to see how much further the community expands.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that contributes to this Huntington forum. I have been interested in this area for years and I will finally be moving there within a year as my Daughter wishes to finish her last year of school in our current town(Southwest Ohio). I really enjoy reading each and every post as it is very informative and has been integral to my decision of choosing Huntington as my future home. Thanks again!!

In business news, looks like the city is planning more efforts to be even more small business friendly:

Huntington has redesigned its website. Long overdue in my opinion. Nothing big really, but as I always say, "A lot of little things can have a big impact."

That is a much better website. It is much easier to navigate with more pertinent information. it is a little thing but also a big thing since the city website can often be the first impression someone gets. The website now does a much better job of selling the city to potential residents.
