Great article. Everything sounds great. Would love to see some more retail and maybe something like an art gallery or children's museum downtown. Right now the only thing to do other than eat is go to a movie or some event at the Big Sandy Arena.

I agree. An interactive Children's Museum/Science Center would be a great thing for the city and the area.

Finally!!! Last of Northcott Court to be demolished within the next month or so. Wonder how quickly redevelopment will occur after this? When will we see or hear about some more solid plans??

Anyone seen or heard anything about this??...KYOVA IPC is soliciting a consultant to do a study for construction of a mixed use development and traffic mobility off I-64 Exit 8. Looks like they are aiming for a fairly aggressive timeline with a goal of completing the project by June 2018.
