I usually have change in my car, so meters aren't usually an issue, though the convenience of paying with a card is nice. But the beauty of a mobile app is being able to add money while your night goes longer than expected. Then again, I'll probably keep parking in the Pullman garages regardless, so it's moot for me.

The one I'm thinking of being insanely slow is the one right behind Iron Horse, literally took 4 minutes to process a credit card last Friday. Morgantown for whatever reason decided to not enable the feature that WVU decided to enable on theirs (they are the exact same pay stations) which is if you pay with credit card you can put in your cell phone number and it'll text you when your time is about to run out to see if you want to extend your time. But the app idea seems to probably solve all of these problems.

The surprising thing about this is that no parking meters are going to be replaced. They will keep the old school meters and add a Parkmobile sticker to the meter. Then the meter monitors will be able to access the payments made via the app. The nice thing is that this will be available at all city meters (I think they said something like 1,300) and the parking garages. I really like having the ability to extend the time on the meter without having to leave whatever you are doing too. That's just a great feature to have at your fingertips.
