Looks like they are about to expand the Old Main Corridor to 7th Street. I think I have read before that the ultimate goal was to take it to 6th Street to where the bridge access is.

Yup, it'll extend to 6th eventually. I think this block was supposed to get funded last year, but it was held up for one reason or another. Glad to see it pushing forward!

This says the phase to 7th street is the final phase. Maybe things have changed?

I guess so. It even says the original plan was between 6th St. and Hal Greer. I don't know why they'd eliminate the last block.
