I'd like to see Hal Greer widen in some places, like from 8th Avenue to 5th Avenue, but I don't know if that is possible given the number of properties that would have to be bought.
I think we'd all like to see the long ago announced and planned pedestrian bridge built. It's long overdue. Actually, instead of building one, lets build two with the second located closer to the new CHH construction at Charleston Avenue.
A true, northbound, right turn only lane into the Cabell Huntington Hospital property would help too. I know there are around 8 or 9 houses along Hal Greer between the hospital entrance and the 5/3 Bank location that would have be bought and torn down. Yes, those houses are someone's home but with the increase traffic and such over the years, it's not practical to have homes located that close to such a busy road.
The development of the old Northcott property has presented the perfect time to eliminate the funky intersections with Charleston and Doulton avenues. Correcting those traffic flow hurdles would help the traffic flow.

Good ideas here. Let’s hope they do everything they can to at least straighten out the intersections and to get that pedestrian bridge started!

If they were to add that turn lane that aeros71 mentioned, the need for a bridge would increase a great deal. It's already somewhat chancy to try to cross from one side to the other, depending on time of day of course, but making the Blvd. wider would make it worse.

Here is the link to the Hal Greer project and they have a survey to gather input, opinions and ideas.

The former Flats on 4th were purchased by the company building a new hotel in Hurricane. Hopefully they build some nice student housing with retail space on the first floor.
