Question Moving to Huntsville

I am semi-retired 62 yrs. young and will be going back to work in the office field. Would someone please give me some information on the safest sides of town to live on . I'd like to buy a small house but don't know where to start looking. I am moving from the Gulf Coast area. Thanks for any information.

skywatcher, look for a thread with a last post date of 5-9-2007 about the "Best Place to Live in Huntsville...." So as not to hijack this thread, perhaps you will want to make a new post if you've got any unanswered questions after readeing that thread. Good luck.

Five Points might be a good option, especially if you look at renovated homes. There's Chapman, too; brick ranchers built in the early 70's and a nice neighborhood. Both have smaller homes in a typical price range of $100-150,000. Both are close to town, the library, hospital, etc.
