Special needs program for adults
My in-laws have a special needs child (down syndrome) who is now an adult. They would like to move here and would like to know if there is any government run special needs programs for adults in the Huntsville area. They are also considering the Decatur, Cullman, and the Arab area.

I would start asking the City, or AL Dept. of Human Resources for leads.

When Decatur was home to the Lurleen B. Wallace Developmental Center, we had tons of programs. The center is gone now, but there are still a number of agencies to help.
I'd start with the Mental Health Association of Morgan County. Their director is a sweetheart and it's a very active group:
